Dr. Ciano has maintained a successful practice built by patient satisfaction and referrals from both patients and other health care practitioners. She has a unique approach to chiropractic, specializing in the NUCCA (National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association) technique since 1979. Because of her expertise, patients travel to her office from throughout California. She has been serving the Sacramento community since 1983.

Dr. Ciano is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa. She is a Diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, a member of the California Chiropractic Association and a past board member of the NUCCA organization. She has taught the NUCCA technique at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Life College of Chiropractic and at national conferences for doctor's post-graduate relicensure certification. She is mentioned in the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association textbook “Protocols and Perspectives” for her role in the history of upper cervical chiropractic.
